Load Up & Start Your Morning With Bulletproof Coffee

Bulletproof Coffee is not your average cup of joe. It is a high performance beverage that benefits your energy and cognitive function.

Ok, so maybe it’s not actually bulletproof, but it’s pretty damn close. Bulletproof Coffee is for those who long for improved bodily function, hard workers who feel drained by the afternoon, pro athletes, busy parents and CEOs.

So, what’s in it?

  1. It all starts with the beans. Brew 1 cup (8-12 ounces) of coffee using filtered water with 2 ½ heaping tablespoons of freshly ground Bulletproof Coffee Beans. Use a French Press for ease of use and to preserve beneficial coffee oils that paper filters keep out.

  2. Add 1 teaspoon to 2 tablespoons of Brain Octane Oil. You’ll learn much more about Brain Octane Oil below, but keep in mind that this stuff is powerful. Start with 1 teaspoon per cup and work your way up to 1-2 tablespoons over several days.

  3. Add 1-2 tablespoons of grass-fed, unsalted butter or grass-fed ghee. You read that right. It says butter. Don’t worry. This mixture also makes the creamiest, most delicious cup of coffee you’ve ever had. Oh, and make sure your butter is unsalted. Salty coffee is gross.

  4. Mix it all in a blender for 20-30 seconds until it looks like a foamy latte.

Bulletproof Coffee can be a substitute for breakfast. Sure, cereal, toast, eggs and granola spike your blood sugar and give you energy, but how much? Enough to last until noon? By then you’ll be tired and unfocused.

Let’s take a look at the 3 main ingredients:

Is it all in the beans?

Coffee in general packed with essential nutrients like B vitamins, potassium, and manganese. It has loads of antioxidants, which reduce your risk of chronic degenerative diseases and keep your brain sharp. A boost of energy from drinking coffee means a sharper brain (focus, better communication), a happier outlook and better physical performance as well as less fat (raises your metabolism). But does that all happen if you’re brewing with low quality coffee beans?

Bulletproof Coffee beans are from high-elevation, Rainforest Alliance certified, single-origin coffee estates in Guatemala and Colombia. Bulletproof beans go through special sourcing and processing methods to minimize mold and other toxic contamination. They are high-quality Arabica beans, which have a smooth, bold flavour and less likely to grow mold.

…or the grass fed butter…

Grass fed butter is a high quality fat that will sustain your energy for hours, boost cognitive function and balance hormones.

Grass-fed butter is higher in essential nutrients. Your body craves good fats for hormone balance and brain health. But good quality, grass-fed butter also contains omega-3 fatty acids, beta-carotene, fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, CLA (a fatty acid with powerful fat-loss benefits), and antioxidants. Butter is good for your brain and your digestion. Grass-fed butter is high in butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid that can both prevent and decrease inflammation. High levels of inflammation link to everything from depression to cancer, so the less inflammation the better!

Could it be the Brain Octane oil?

Brain Octane oil is an essential component of Bulletproof Coffee. It raises fat-burning, brain-fueling molecules in your body called ketones. It is a purified form of medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) derived from 100% pure coconut oil. It’s then triple-distilled through earthen clay, so there are no solvent residues. Brain Octane is also flavourless, odourless, and easy on your stomach, unlike some other MCT oils, which can upset your stomach.

Brain Octane also suppresses your hunger and provide your brain with almost an almost instant energy boost (which can also be great for working out!)

So there you have it. Bulletproof Coffee is one key to improving your overall health. And don’t worry, if you haven’t got a bag of their miracle coffee beans, Bulletproof’s founder, Sean Asprey, opened the first Bulletproof cafe in Santa Monica, CA. Happy Drinking!
